WWE wants Ronda Rousey when she’s done with the UFC

It looks like the WWE will make their best effort to coax Ronda Rousey back into the squared circle. The pro wrestling promotion used Rousey with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson at WrestleMania 31 in a memorable segment with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, and McMahon told TMZ that she wanted some storyline revenge while revealing that they are indeed interested in her services:

“God, I certainly hope so. I gotta get her back from when she put me in that armbar.”

“I’m certainly going to try (to sign her), I’ll just leave it at that.”

Rousey, who fights Amanda Nunes at UFC 207 for the women’s bantamweight title, told Ellen a few days ago that her career was winding down and she wouldn’t be taking many more fights. The WWE would be a natural fit for Rousey, who is a huge pro wrestling fan herself and has all the makings of a great wrestling draw. She might be more interested in a mainstream acting career though, so WWE would be a tough sell.

Rousey isn’t the only UFC female star that WWE has tried to court – they tried to make a deal with strawweight Paige VanZant to appear at SummerSlam last year, but they couldn’t come to an agreement.

UFC 207 goes down on December 30th in Vegas.
