Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys rolled to their 10th straight victory on Thursday, beating the Washington Redskins 31-26. Prescott didn’t have his best performance of the year through the air, but he was a force on the ground.
The rookie quarterback rushed for a career-high 39 yards and a touchdown on eight carries, giving him five rushing touchdowns this season. His terrific came carrying the ball was highlighted by a brutal stiff-arm on safety Donte Whitner.
The play drew some serious praise from Jerry Jones, who said Dak is “the daddy when he does that.” Prescott didn’t really understand what the Cowboys owner was talking about, but made it clear he doesn’t have any kids, and doesn’t want any either.
“I don’t know what that means,” Prescott said. “I have no kids. Don’t want any.”
There’s nothing this kid can do wrong right now, and he’s a big reason the Cowboys are 10-1 and vying for the No. 1 seed in the NFC.
