The Cowboys had a secret weapon on Thanksgiving
Two major storylines emerged as the Dallas Cowboys marched to a 17-6 halftime lead over the Washington Redskins on Thanksgiving Day:
1.) Feeding Ezekiel Elliott is always a good decision.
2.) The sun itself was working against Washington.
As the Redskins looked to tie the game late in the second quarter, QB Kirk Cousins was blinded by the glaring light filtering into AT&T Stadium from the end zone, helping to stop Washington's offensive drive in its tracks. On the subsequent field goal attempt, K Dustin Hopkins clearly was bothered by the light, as well, missing his second attempt of the day.
Just how big of a problem was the sun? Let us show you.

As the sun continued to set, AT&T Stadium looked pretty cool
Although that's probably not any consolation to the Redskins.
