The 10 best things about Sunday’s Week 12 NFL games

The Lions and Cowboys came away with two exciting Thanksgiving Day wins, while the Steelers cruised over a Colts team that was without its starting QB.

Here are the 10 best things to look for when Week 12 continues on Sunday, including Trevor Siemian and the Broncos hosting the Chiefs in a key AFC West matchup.

Panthers over Raiders: The combination of a desperate Carolina team (that's won two straight) and a Raiders squad returning from Mexico City on a short week could make for a Panthers upset — as long as they can find a way to slow Oakland's high-powered offense without LB Luke Kuechly, who will miss this one with a concussion.

The Dolphis have quietly won five straight, and we don't think there's any chance that a 1-9 San Francisco team goes to Miami and notches its first road win of the season.

Rams at Saints: Jared Goff threw for just 134 yards in last week's debut, and L.A. has scored 10 points (or less!) in four straight games.

But they've all been close, and while facing Drew Brees at home can be an extremely tough task, this one could be closer than expected if the Rams' defense shows up.

Jameis Winston versus the Seattle defense: The Seahawks have allowed the fewest points per game (17.3) to this point in the season, but Seattle is just 10th overall in yards per game allowed strictly against the pass.

Winston has thrown for more than 300 yards in each of the past two games, both of which were victories for the Bucs.

Thomas Rawls will be the featured back for the Seahawks this week, and Tampa Bay's defense ranks just 25th against the run. 

The Falcons are at home against the Cardinals, and oddsmakers have the over/under set at 50.5.

Atlanta was slowed by the Eagles' defense in its last outing before the bye week, but scored at least 30 points in each of its three previous games. Arizona can score a little too, and has given up 30 points in each of its past two road contests.

Bengals at Ravens: Baltimore has allowed an average of 11 points per game at home if we remove the shootout with the Raiders, and Cincinnati has scored an average of 18 points per game in its five road games this season.

Chargers at Texans: Houston is 6-4 but leads the AFC South, and looked competent at times while battling the Raiders in Mexico City on Monday night. San Diego, meanwhile, has struggled to get to 4-6, but is capable of scoring at a rate very similar to Oakland's high-powered offense, which could mean problems for Houston's defense for a second straight week.

Chiefs at Broncos: We could be in for a classic AFC West battle Sunday night between two 7-3 teams. Kansas City was clearly looking ahead to this one last week as it stumbled at home against the Buccaneers, while Denver is coming off a bye week after stealing a win over the Saints with one of the crazier plays of the season.
