Steelers RB DeAngelo Williams reportedly had knee surgery, could be out 2-3 weeks

Steelers running back DeAngelo Williams underwent knee surgery and could be out 2-3 weeks, according to a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. He missed the Week 7 matchup with the Patriots, and has been bothered by the lingering injury ever since.

Williams, 33, got off to a strong start in the first two games of the season with 303 total yards and 4 touchdowns, but has barely played at all since Le’Veon Bell returned from suspension in Week 4.

The Steelers host the Cowboys on Sunday, and then hit the road for games against the Browns and the Colts the following two weeks.
