Russell Westbrook recorded his fourth consecutive triple-double Wednesday in an overtime win over the Wizards, lifting him to sixth on the all-time regular-season triple-double list (and out of a tie with LeBron James). With 20 games of the 2016-17 season down, Westbrook is currently averaging a triple-double, and he's on pace to become just the second man in NBA history to accomplish the feat – but there are still 62 games left to play.
Where do James and Westbrook currently stand among the most versatile stat sheet stuffers of all-time? Here are the 13 players with the most triple-doubles in NBA history. All stats are via Basketball Reference.
Michael Jordan – 28
In 1989, Jordan had a streak of seven consecutive triple-doubles – and after it was broken in a game against the Pistons, he extended the run to 10 triple-doubles in 11 games.
Rajon Rondo – 28
Grant Hill – 29

Bob Cousy – 33
Fat Lever – 43
The most surprising name on the list, Lafayette “Fat” Lever was a two-time All-Star in 1988 and 1990 for the Denver Nuggets. In 1988-89, he averaged 19.8 points per game, 9.3 rebounds per game and 7.9 assists.

Larry Bird – 59

Oscar Robertson – 181
It’s well-known that Robertson is the only player to average a triple-double for an entire season (for now), but he came agonizingly close to doing it twice. In 1963-64, Robertson put up 31.4 points, 11.0 assists and 9.9 rebounds per game.
