It’s not clear whether Charles Oliveira woke up on Friday morning with the idea that he was competing at lightweight instead of featherweight, but that was the result when he stepped on the scale for the Ultimate Fighter Latin America 3 Finale weigh-ins. The Brazilian weighed in at a massive 155lbs for his bout against Ricardo Lamas. Lamas hit the scales at 146lbs, right on the featherweight limit.
And while that seems like it’d be solid grounds to cancel the bout, purely on principal if nothing else, that doesn’t look like what’s going to happen. MMAJunkie reporter Fernanda Prates reports that Lamas has agreed to take the fight. As a result, Oliveira will lose 30% of his purse and need to weigh in under 165lbs upon arriving at the arena pre-fight.
Full card confirmed. Arantes set to lose 20% of his purse for his two-pound miss, while Oliveira gives up 30% of his for nine-pound miss.

Additionally, we’ve confirmed the information that Oliveira needs to be under 165 pounds upon arrival to arena tomorrow.

Alongside the Oliveira news, it looks like Felipe Arantes vs. Erik Perez is a go as well. Arantes missed the bantamweight (136 lb) limit by two lbs and will subsequently be fined 20% of his purse.
All that means that the TUF Latin America 3 Finale card stays fully intact, despite “Do Bronx”’s best efforts to derail it at the last minute. TUF LA 3 takes place Saturday, November 5th in Mexico City and will be headlined by a clash between top lightweight contenders Rafael dos Anjos and Tony Ferguson.
