Rashad Evans vs. Tim Kennedy has been pulled from UFC 205 after Evans failed a pre-fight medical test. ESPN’s Brett Okamoto broke the story after talking to UFC President Dana White.
With Dana White right now, tells me Evans/Kennedy is off due to an issue with Evans’s medicals. More info to come.

MMAFighting has reported that the New York State Athletic Commission removed Evans from the card after a undisclosed issue came up during his pre-fight medical testing. Ariel Helwani has reported that Evans is fine, but that the NYAC removed him for precautionary purposes.
Evans is fine. No drama happened. They’re gathering information, but it appears as though a medical issue popped up that concerned the NYAC.

Kennedy’s team tells me they have yet to be told officially that the fight is off, either. This is the first they’ve heard of it being off.

The UFC has yet to comment on the removal of Evans and if they are looking for a replacement fight for Kennedy. Evans was coming off of a 1st round KO loss to Glover Teixeira from back in April before his removal from the card. For Tim Kennedy, the bout was supposed to be his first after a two-year absence from the sport.
