The MLS Cup Playoffs are down to four: Toronto FC and the Montreal Impact in the Eastern Conference, and the Colorado Rapids and Seattle Sounders in the Western Conference.
Now if you want to see the best teams over the course of the season rewarded, you want Toronto and Colorado. If you want to see upsets, Seattle and Montreal. But what if you just want the most fun MLS Cup final possible? These are how the potential match-ups stack up for entertainment value.
Colorado Rapids vs. Montreal Impact
The Rapids are a great story, having gone from one of the worst teams in the league to one of the best. They are pretty rootable on that alone. But they are also exceedingly boring. You don't want to watch them in MLS Cup and, against an Impact team that likes to counterattack, this could be a snoozer.

Colorado Rapids vs. Toronto FC
Again, Colorado does not make for entertaining soccer. Playing Toronto would help things because they are a lot of fun to watch, but it still wouldn't be especially fun. Also, the Rapids would host ths match — also if they played Montreal — and Dick's Sporting Goods Park would not be an electric atmosphere.

Seattle Sounders vs. Montreal Impact
The Sounders were left for dead midseason, but replacing Sigi Schmid and adding Nicolas Lodeiro has turned them into one of the best teams in MLS. They're fun and attacking, plus they would host the Impact and a sold out crowd of 60,000+ at CenturyLink Field would be rocking. The Impact's ability to hit Seattle on the counter would make for some fascinating tactics too.

Toronto FC vs. Seattle Sounders
If you can put Sebastian Giovinco, Jozy Altidore, Michael Bradley, Lodeiro and Jordan Morris on the field with MLS Cup on the line, you do it 100x over, That these are probably the two best teams in the league right now, are both searching for their first ever MLS Cup title and would be in front of roughly 35,000 fans. Bring it.
