Diaz and McGregor are currently tied at 1-1 in their two bouts this year. Nate has mentioned multiple times that he’s only looking to return and complete the trilogy. Conor, on the other hand, has announced that he is taking a bit of a break, but likes the many options available to him.

For what it’s worth, McGregor’s striking coach recently said that he prefers if Conor’s next bout is for a third belt against Woodley, but also mentions that a third bout with Diaz would be “special”.
