Behind redshirt freshman Sam Darnold, the Trojans have bulldozed their way back into the Pac-12 conversation. Coach Clay Helton’s team has reeled off seven in a row behind their star quarterback, including impressive wins over Colorado and Washington.
On the other sideline, the Fighting Irish can only play spoiler. Coach Brian Kelly‘s squad has lost a shocking seven games by eight points or less and will miss a bowl after starting the season in the Top 10.
