Final running order for the Can-Am 500 at Phoenix

Joey Logano and Kyle Busch finished 1-2 in Sunday’s Can-Am 500 at Phoenix International Raceway, advancing to join Jimmie Johnson and Carl Edwards in the Championship Round of the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup. Here’s where all 40 drivers finished on Sunday at Phoenix.

All weekend long, Logano was fast, putting the Team Penske Ford in the top five in qualifying and each of the three practice sessions. And he came big, winning the race and advancing to the Chase finale.

The defending Sprint Cup champion came into this race as one of the drivers on the bubble of advancing to the Chase finale. He qualified poorly and really wasn’t a factor early, but came on in the second half of the race. But he drove hard and finished second to advance in the Chase.

Larson said he always struggles at Phoenix, but he put the Chip Ganassi Racing Chevrolet on the outside of Row 1 during qualifying. In the race, he spun out twice, including on the first lap, but recovered to finish third.
