Monaco power into the Top 10 after a 3-0 victory over CSKA Moscow sees them unexpectedly topping Group E ahead of both Bayer Leverkusen and Tottenham. They’ve even managed to get Radamel Falcao scoring again, and that alone deserves a few bonus points.

Juventus (Previously: 6)
Juventus drop to No. 9 after an ugly home draw against Olympique Lyon. They’re still undefeated in Champions League and sit in second place behind Sevilla while expectedly dominating Serie A, but they simply haven’t looked good at all this season.

Borussia Dortmund (Previously: 9)
Dortmund move up a spot after beating Sporting Lisbon to take top spot in Group F, even without star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the lineup.
Sevilla (Previously: 8)
Sevilla keep cruising. They crushed Dinamo Zagreb 4-0 to remain unbeaten in their group, and they’re two points ahead of second-placed Juventus as well. They’re looking good, and they don’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon.

Manchester City (Previously: 7)
City bounced back from that ignominious drubbing by Barcelona with the perfect response: a 3-1 victory in the return fixture. They’ve got Kevin De Bruyne back, and they look like a team on the come-up.

Real Madrid (Previously: 4)
Real Madrid drop a spot after a draw away to lowly Legia Warsaw. They may be top of La Liga, but they’re second in the group to Dortmund, and they’ve already drawn two out of their four matches in their group so far.

Barcelona (Previously: 2)
Barcelona fall a couple spots in the rankings after being exposed by Manchester City and suffering their first Champions League loss of the season. They’re also chasing Real Madrid in La Liga.

Arsenal (Previously: 5)
Arsenal earn the No. 3 ranking by virtue of being unbeaten since the very first match of the season, top of Group A, and managing to get Mesut Ozil to score goals. A deserved jump in the standings.
Bayern Munich (Previously: 3)
Bayern Munich’s only blip in Champions League has been their very first match against No. 1 ranked Atletico Madrid. They’ve qualified from their group, and they look like bona fide contenders for the trophy with the big ears. It’s all as we expected.

It’s going to take something special to knock Atleti off the top spot. They’re the only team in Champions League to win every single one of their first four matches, and they look nearly unbeatable in Europe. You can’t point to weak opposition either since they played Bayern Munich. Scary.
