Arizona beats Michigan State on full-court layup by Kadeem Allen in final seconds

The first marquee game of college basketball season gave us the type of heart-stopping ending we’ve come to expect from the sport. Arizona trailed Michigan State 17-2 at the start of the game, but roared back behind the strong play of freshmen Lauri Markkanen and Kobi Simmons. In the end, it was a senior who gave Arizona the win.

After Michigan State’s Tum Tum Nairn clanked in a game-tying three with seven seconds left, Arizona had one last chance for the win. Kadeem Allen took the inbounds pass coast to coast and finished at the rim over several Spartan defenders to give the Wildcats the win.

Arizona 65, Michigan State 63, final. We missed you, college hoops.
