For those who were looking forward to watching Air Force games this weekend, they will have to wait a while. The Air Force Academy’s games will not be played for the time being due to the government shutdown. In a brief statement, the Academy announced that “home and away intercollegiate athletic events have been cancelled until further notice.”
Here’s a list of events from Saturday alone that fans won’t be able to see:

The government shutdown began Saturday at midnight, after the U.S. Senate failed to reach an immigration deal. As a result, a number of government activities (which include Air Force’s games) will have to be on hold until the shutdown is over. Air Force has not yet announced its plans to reschedule events. According to ESPN, Army and Navy’s games have not been affected by the shutdown for now.
